Catechesis is the act of handing on the Word of God intended to inform the faith community and candidates for initiation into the Church about the teachings of Christ, transmitted by the Apostles
to the Church.

Catechesis also involves the lifelong effort of forming people into witnesses to Christ and opening their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit.

Parents' Session on the Playlist!

As we get started on our new Family of Faith and Catholic Kids Connect programs for the 2020-21 year, our Faith Formation section is undergoing some changes too! Please be patient as we rebuild our pages to provide you the best and most up-to-date information.

Currently, there is great information on the Faith Formation playlist section of our youtube channel. Check here for Father's announcement and recent Q&A session!

Parents are the first and best teachers of our children in the Domestic Church of the home. St Dorothy's parish Family of Faith program assists parents in their primary role of preparing their children to worthily receive the Sacraments. And the new CKC - Catholic Kids Connect  - will add a dash of extra fun and excitement throughout the year.

Please contact Mrs Meg Barrett our Director of Faith Formation or call the office at 704.735.5575 should you have questions or need more information.

Please be aware, you must be a registered member of the Parish to sign up for the Catechesis programs. If your family is doing home catechesis, we ask that you please sign your family up so Father will be aware of the children's sacramental needs.
