But I started focusing on the work that needed to get done rather than on the Lord Who asked me to do it. ...
It's a very common thought: "I just need to get this done." Yes, that's true, but that's always the wrong attitude. It should be: "I need to get this done for the Lord."
After awhile, that little mistake begins to grow. And without even recognizing it, what happens is we become burdened by our very vocation! We want to get away from it.
