Here's the Son of God, doing His Father's will; going through many towns and preaching in many places. It is His intention to pass through Jericho and find another place to stay. And yet, at the end of the Gospel, Jesus talks about coming to this house and staying here. "Salvation has come to this house!" It has remained here now.
Well, what happened? What changed Jesus' mind between His intention to pass through, and then His intention to stay?
That's the real focus of the text.... What changed the Lord's mind?
It's a very simple thing. Zacchaeus climbed a tree to see Him.
