The Church is in history but at the same time, transcends it. It is only with the "eyes of faith" that one can see in her the visible, and at the same time, spiritual reality as the bearer of divine life (CCC 770).

By her seven Sacraments, she shares this life with the faithful. These sacraments touch all the stages and important moments of Christian life: they give birth and increase, healing and mission to the Christian's life of faith (CCC 1210).

Faith Formation is a lifelong process and pursuit. St. Dorothy's offers opportunity for instruction at every age.

Parents are the first and best teachers of our children. Our parish Faith Formation program supplements and assists parents in their primary role of preparing their children to worthily receive the Sacraments. Classes are offered for children from pre-k through 8th grade. Children receive instruction and specific preparation for First Confession, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation.

Please contact Mrs. Meg Barrett our Director of Faith Formation at faithformation@stdorothys.com for more information.

Fr. Miller offers High School Apologetics, a casual evening get-together for those who have received their Confirmation and desire to continue to deepen their faith.

For adults interested in Becoming Catholic, the RCIA program prepares those who have not yet received some or all of their sacraments of initiation from Baptism through Confirmation.
