We are a family oriented fraternal and charitable organization comprised of practicing Catholic men 18 years and older. The Knights is an international organization with over 1.8 million members in 14,000 plus councils throughout the world. Men from all nations are invited to join us as we are founded on the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

Here at Saint Dorothy’s we have 90 members from both our Anglo and Hispanic communities together supporting Pastor David Miller, the parish, and the surrounding community in various ways. 

Our council has a reputation throughout the state as having an outstanding ability to collect money which is donated to help people with intellectual disabilities in the local area. Established in 1984, the Saint Dorothy’s council has collected donations exceeding $350,000 which were used to benefit people with intellectual disabilities. We’re repeatedly the top collector of all councils of similar size throughout the entire state.


Other examples of what we do:

  • support seminarians with financial assistance

  • defray the cost of parishioners attending the annual March For Life in Washington, DC 

  • complete extensive construction projects in the church and rectory

  • provide Bibles for Faith Formation students

  • donate annually to the Lincoln County Christian Ministry and prepare and serve meals to area homeless

  • host BBQ fund raisers for a local Optimist Club

  • Annual Highway clean-up

  • Facilitate annual Special Olympics

We are always looking for new members to help us fulfill our mission. Business meetings are closed to the public are held the
second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the church social hall.
